F4B files are MPEG-4 audio files in the Flash format container that are specially designed for audiobooks. The extension F4B was introduced by the manufacturer Adobe 2007 with the support of MPEG-4. This format has been supported since Flashplayer 9 Update 3 (126.96.36.199) and also supports DRM (Digital Rights Management). In addition to F4B, the endings f4v, f4p and f4a for video, protected videos as well as audio files were introduced.
Most often resolving problems with opening F4B files is very simple. Just install an appropriate program that supports such files. All of the listed programs support F4B files, but may vary in offered function and purpose. Some programs may be capable only of viewing contents of F4B files or offer file conversion options, but may not be capable of editing such files.
