More info

When copying a disk, CloneCD creates, for example, an iso file or a CCD file, depending on the mode used. In the CCD file are just metadata, the actual data of the disk are stored in an img file of the same name. (Often there is also a sub file).

CCD can also be burned onto an optical disk with the accompanying img file with CloneCD. In addition, a CCD file can also be 'mounted' by various virtual CD / DVD programs, provided that the img file is available. This means that the CD will be made available as a virtual drive. Special software that can convert the CCD and img files into another format also exists. These are subject to restrictions.
